 Remote

I wish I could “fast-forward” time.
I think about the cost,
The time to be lost,
And all of the thoughts
To never enter this mind,
I think, what if I were to hit “rewind?”
I recount memories of being burnt
And lessons learned.
Already living through the pain and hurt
Makes me quickly clear this mind.
This life's already on “play.”
There's no “stop”ing it,
No not a chance!
“Pause?”
Now, this one I'd hit,
And with a quick glace
Wouldn't you know-
I see myself living the moment
And loving it so.
